The book is bright, fun, and full of opportunities to explore and do things with the little fingers. I would suggest buying it as early as possible and start “reading” it to your child when they are 4-6 months old. The book is perfect for 10-18 months, I would say. It is very safe to play with, it has beads that babies and toddlers love, different surfaces, numbers, etc. My 2-year-old daughter has one and I am buying another one for my friend’s baby. It has handles and it’s easy to fold which is also convenient for parents if they want to travel with it.
